Calligraphy Lesson at Your Hotel Room

Do you have free time during your stay in Tokyo? If so, why not learn and feel the spirit of Japanese culture through calligraphy?

Calligraphy, which was originally developed in China and brought to Japan with Buddhism, has developed as a form of art. It has a meditational effect when you concentrate on writing.

After practicing calligraphy with the master in your hotel room, you can write on a special board to take home for display. If you have a particular character/design that you would like to write, the master will prepare a sample for you in advance.

  • The instructor will visit your hotel room. The instructor will start off with a short lecture about the calligraphy.
  • No art experience is required but your artistic sense will appear in your work!
  • Please bring back the paper board to display in your home.
